Each year the Friends receive nearly half a million donated books, which we in turn resell to the public through bookstores and a number of monthly & seasonal book sales. All profits are used to benefit the libraries of the various chapters.

The next time you clean your bookshelves, keep the Friends in mind.! We welcome donations of all types. We will be glad to give you a receipt for your donation; however we do not evaluate the books. You are responsible for estimating the value for tax purposes.

All of our bookstores are operated by volunteers who sort and price books and restock the store shelves. Cashiers are needed in Grover’s Corners and Carousel bookstores. If you have a few hours per week and you love books, why not volunteer in a place surrounded by them? Volunteer Today!

Grover’s Corners Book Store — John F. Germany Public Library

Grover’s Corners is the Friends' largest bookstore. It was opened in 1994 by volunteer, Grover ? . The store was named after Grover after his death. The store is operated by Jack and Cay Lee and volunteer cashiers. Monthly sales are on the 4th Sat of each month. Grover’s Corners also accepts donations for the Books for Troops program.

Carousel Bookstore — Jimmie B. Keel Regional Public Library

The Carousel Bookstore is operated by the Friends of the Jimmie B. Keel Regional Library. A dedicated group of volunteers work together sorting and pricing the books and filling cashier shifts. Funds raised are used for programs and enhancements for the Jimmie B. Keel Regional Library.

The Town ‘N Country Bookstore

The Town ‘N Country Bookstore is operated by the Friends of the Town ‘N Country Regional Library. A dedicated group of volunteers work together sorting, pricing, and shelving the books under the leadership of Barbara . Special books are selected to be sold from the chapter’s web site - http://www.tncregionallibraryfriends.org/special_books - and to be part of the chapter’s silent auction at the annual Art, Wine, and Music event. Funds raised benefit the Town ‘N Country Regional Library.

The Friends groups have a number of book sales throughout the year. These sales offer greatly reduced prices and a huge variety of books. They are completely operated by volunteers. If you have a few hours each month, the Friends need you! Please contact us.
