Friends of the Library Endowment Fund | To Donate
The Friends of the Library of Hillsborough County Fund is a permanent fund that serves as a savings account for our organization. The principal of this fund is permanently held and managed by the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay. Its earned interest is added to the Friends general fund account. Your contribution to this permanent fund will help us provide services far into the future.
Jan Platt Public Library Fund | To Donate
The Jan Platt Public Library Endowment is permanently held and managed by the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay. Its earned interest paid to the Friends twice a year and is used for programming activities throughout the library system and for additions to the library book collection.
Gift Book Donation
You may honor a friend, colleague, or family member by donating a book in honor of a special day (birthday, anniversary, graduation, etc.) or in their memory. A special book plate will be placed in the front of the book and a letter will be sent to the honoree or their family. Please print out a GIF Form and mail to the Friends Office at 900 N. Ashley, Tampa, 33602.
Books for Troops
The Friends of the Library help to support our troops by sending them books that have been specifically donated for troops stationed overseas. We accept both monetary and paperback book donations for this effort. Donated books should be clearly labeled " FOL Books for Troops" and can be dropped off at any library in Hillsborough County. Monetary donations are appreciated to help pay for postage. Checks can be made to the Friends of the Library with “Book For Troops” on the memo line. Please mail to the Friends Office, 900 North Ashley Dr. Tampa, FL 33602. Questions can be directed to booksfortroops@hotmail.com or 273-3616.
